Paul Scholes Style of play:

Zinedine Zidane once commented "My toughest opponent? Scholes. He is undoubtedly the greatest player of his generation", whereas Thierry Henry said "Without any doubt the best player in the Premiership has to be Scholes... He knows how to do everything." When asked about Paul Scholes Manchester United and England hero Bobby Charlton lauded him, "Paul is always so in control and pin-point accurate with his passing—a beautiful player to watch." Whilst Marcello Lippi remarked that Scholes is "an all-round midfielder who possesses quality and character in abundance." BBC football pundit and former Liverpool F.C. defender Alan Hansen has described him as "one of the top three to five players to have ever played in the Premier League" and commented "his passing, movement and technique set examples to everyone."

2010 Football Young Player : Andres Lindegaard

Aalesund goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is interesting Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson plans to make Anders Lindegaard his latest summer signing, according to The Manchester Evening News.

The 26-year-old, who plays for Norwegian side Aalesunds, is apparently considered by the Scot as the long-term successor to veteran goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

Following Ben Foster’s £6 million move to Birmingham City, the Red Devils now have three first team goalkeepers on their books, with Ben Amos providing cover to Van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak.

United have been linked with a number of goalkeepers over the last year, with CSKA Moscow’s Igor Akinfeev, Lyon’s Hugo Loris and Manuel Neuer of Schalke all rumoured to be targets for the Old Trafford club.

Lindegaard, dubbed the ‘new Peter Schmeichel’, could be set to join the Red Devils and would be available for a cut-price fee.

The player’s agent, Michael Stensgaard, who is a former Liverpool goalkeeper, has confirmed his client is attracting attention from European clubs.

He is quoted as saying by The Manchester Evening News: “Anders has been playing at a very high level for a long time now and that has been noticed around Europe. He absolutely has the ability to play in the Premier League.”
